What is Summit and how do I use it?

How do I order books from the Summit system? Summit is the catalog of Orbis Cascade Alliance Members including nearly 40 academic university, college, and community college libraries throughout the Pacific Northwest. 28 million books, sound recordings, videos, and more are available to request for Walla Walla University students, faculty, and staff.

Summit includes nearly 40 academic university, college, and community college libraries throughout the Pacific Northwest and makes available 28 million books, sound recordings, videos, and more to Orbis Cascade Alliance member faculty and students. Find these items by searching the WWU & Summit scope in Research Central.

  • Visit the library home page and enter the title of the book or topic keywords in the Research Central search box. By default Research Central will search for items owned by WWU Libraries & Summit.  Once you have entered your search terms select Search.
  • Locally available items will be given a call number or full text link while Summit Items say 'check for available services' Login and you will see a link to 'place Summit request'

Currently Summit items are only available for pickup at our College Place Peterson Memorial Library (PML) and Portland, OR School of Nursing locations.
