How do I locate a book at Walla Walla University Library?

I have a book title, how do I find out if Walla Walla University Library has a book I want?

Answer

Visit the library home page and enter the book title in the Research Central search box. Select Search. By default Research Central will search for items owned by 'WWU Libraries & Summit'.

Limit to items available at WWU libraries by swapping the dropdown from 'WWU Libraries & Summit' to 'WWU Only'. Alternatively you may refine your results in the left hand column by using 'on library shelves'. Available items will be listed in green 'Online Access' or 'Available at' followed by a call number and location information for physical items will show up underneath the title and publisher information.

Check availability means an item may be available for request through Summit Borrowing.

If you prefer to find books on a particular topic enter a keyword or two that will help to define your topic along with Boolean Operators (say 'adoption AND United States' as an example) and search in a similar way.

Once you have found the title or titles you will want to make a note of the location and call number information for each item. If they are in WWU Libraries you will want to visit the library stacks, locate the item using the call number and location information, and then take the item to the Library Information Desk.

To check out a physical item you will need your WWU ID card.
