Does the library have fiction books?
Can I check out and find fiction books out through WWU Libraries?
Answer
WWU Libraries focus on supporting student's academic success at Walla Walla University, however there are fictional titles in the collection to support curriculum. Fiction titles are found within the main collection, therefore the easiest way to locate fiction in the library is to do a title or author search in Research Central, and note the call number location. The Curriculum Library (Smith Hall) has a collection of juvenile fiction and picture books found in Research Central and may be used by the campus community.
Searching the WWU & Summit scope will also allow you to find and request titles available in Summit libraries, some of which have curricular collections focusing in children's literature, YA novels, or even graphic novels.
In addition students may have access to the Walla Walla County Library (College Place residents), or the Walla Walla Public Library (Walla Walla city residents), while they are attending WWU and living in the valley. As public libraries, both libraries provide access to a variety of fictional materials, including audiobooks and eBooks through the Washington State digital libraries.
