What is MeSH?

What is 'MeSH'? How do I find them?

Answer

MeSH refers to Medical Subject Headings. These subject headings are the controlled vocabulary (similar to Library of Congress Subject Headings) of the U.S. National Library of Medicine and are used to give consistency to biomedical literature. Knowing how to find the Medical Subject Headings can help researchers perform more relevant searches in MEDLINE, PubMed, and CINAHL.
