How do I find a particular database?

My professor asked me to use a specific database, where do I find it?

Answer

Popular search tools such as, Gale Academic OneFile, all EBSCO databases (Academic Search Premier), reference databases (Gale Virtual Reference Library), and JSTOR can all be found on the databases page.

Select the Databases link from the services links under the Research Central search box.

Search tools are listed alphabetically on this page, or may be searched by title. You may also limit by a subject area, such as education, engineering, etc. Within these subject areas a list of 'best bets', will guide you to Databases where you are most likely to find Peer Reviewed literature. You can also filter by what types of sources you will find in the tool (newspapers, eBooks, etc).

If you need help using or selecting a database, you can contact a research librarian at reference@wallawalla.edu.
