How do I find a dictionary in the library?
Answer
Dictionaries will be located in the reference room and included dictionaries that cover specific topics as well as more general dictionaries such as Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary.
Subject dictionaries can also be found in the reference room or in our ebook collections. Call numbers and links can be found by searching for your topic along with the word dictionary, for example 'Dictionary AND Law'. This is a method similar to searching for subject Encyclopedias.
In addition to the print dictionaries, the library also subscribes to Oxford English Dictionary online, which can be searched from anywhere.
