How do I access articles off campus?
Can I access full-text articles from library databases when I am not on the College Place campus?
Answer
Students and faculty access full-text articles through many journal databases. Go to WWU Databases to select a database.
If you aren't certain where to begin Academic Search Premier, Gale Academic OneFile and ProQuest Central, are good interdisciplinary databases that cover most subjects. From the A to Z Database list:
- search for your database by title or jump to the title.
- limit by subject area, databases highlighted 'best bets' indicate those most likely to contain full-text scholarly literature for your subject.
- limit by database type such as articles, videos, reference, SDA resources, etc.
You will find a description of what is covered in each database under the database title.
Off-campus you will be prompted to login with your WWU Login (email/network user name and password). If you have difficulty logging in, contact support@wallawalla.edu and have them make certain all of your user information (including campus group and user barcode) is correct.
