What are the best databases for finding statistical data?

Answer

Walla Walla University Libraries subscribes to a number of databases that may help you find statistical information. In addition to this, there are links that may provide you with polling and statistics in a number of areas.

Gale General OneFile allows you to search for statistical data. To do this use the Advanced Search, and limit your document type to 'statistical data' or 'statistical table'.

In addition you may find data from polling centers such as Pew Research Center, the Rasmussin Reports, and the Gallup Organization

Much statistical data does come from government and non-governmental organizations such as the UNESCO. USA.gov searches United States federal and state websites, or you can use Google search and limit to site:.org or site.gov. Always check the website you're getting stats from to be certain it is one that would be considered credible.
