Answer

To find an article in the New York Times do the following steps:

  1. Use the Full Text Finder link from the main Library website
  2. Type: New York Times
  3. Select one of the databases that is available (for articles beginning in 1980s) and search.
  4. Type in title of article and select date of publication
  5. Run the search and then email the article to yourself

If you are looking for articles between 1934 and 2011 you may be able to search the Times website. A certain number of previous articles may be available with a login or subscription.

TIP: Different editions of the Newspaper can have different headlines. If you are struggling to find the article with the exact headline, try using keywords in the title and limiting by date.
