Q. Find an article in the New York Times

To find an article in the New York Times do the following steps:

  1. Use "Full Text Finder" or Journals A to Z.
  2. Type: New York Times
  3. Select one of the databases that is available (for articles beginning in 1980s) and search.
  4. Type in title of article and select date of publication
  5. Run the search and then email the article to yourself

If you are looking for articles between 1934 and 2011 you may be able to search the Times website, and then use microfilm to access the full-text.

TIP: If you have difficulty using the exact title of the articles try searching for keywords in the article as sometimes different editions of the newspaper may have slightly different headlines.
