How do I access and use eBooks at Walla Walla University?

Answer

eBooks may be found from WWU Libraries through Research Central, or one of our eBook databases. They may be accessed anywhere with an Internet connection and read on screen or in some cases may be able to be checked-out and used with some readers. To do this additional software or aps such as Adobe Editions may be required.

Research Central

Select WWU Only from the main library webpage, and then enter Research Central by putting in your search terms as you would for physical books and other items. Once inside, use the 'Refine my Results' column to limit to type 'eBooks'. You may also do an advanced search and limit by type in the advanced search as you set up your search.

eBooks will typically be noted through an 'online access' link, and will link you directly to the databases or publisher website that provides the access.

eBook databases

The library subscribes to several databases that provide access to eBooks. You may find these on the A to Z database page by limiting to database type 'eBooks'. One of the primary eBook databases is ProQuest Ebook Central. You may search this database directly by keyword, author, or title, just as you can Research Central.

If you have any questions about eBooks, don't hesitate to ask a librarian!
