Q. How can I get help from a librarian?

The Library Information Desk is your first stop when you enter Peterson Memorial Library, and a good place to get put in contact with an available librarian.

The Peterson Memorial Library Information Desk is your first stop to check out a book, ask a question, or get research assistance for an assignment or personal information.

Student library assistants are available at the Library Information Desk anytime the library is open. They may be able to assist you with basic questions about finding sources or using databases, but if they cannot they will be able to put you in touch with faculty librarians that are working in their offices.

Librarians are typically available between 9 - 5, however some may be in their offices earlier or later in the day. Alternatively you may send an email to the reference team for response during business hours, or to set up an appointment at a specific time.
