Q. What are reserves and where are reserves located?

Professors specifically select items (books, journal articles, DVDs, exams, study guides and other materials) for their class to use and put the materials on Reserve at the Library Information Desk.

Answer

Professors specifically select items (books, journal articles, DVDs, exams, study guides and other materials) for their class to use and put the materials on Reserve. This guarantees that all students in the class can have access. Your Instructor will choose the checkout time period, which can vary from two hours to seven days.

The reserve desk is located at the Library Information Desk in the Library Lobby on the Green Level.

To find course reserves for your class online, from the dropdown menu that says "WWU & Summit" select "Course Reserves". In the search bar, enter your course number, such as ENGL 122. Even "ENGL" should turn up some reserve titles.

Be sure to check the availability of a reserve item before heading to the library to pick it up.
